If you are unsure what is meant by "confessional standards," you may find it helpful first to read the Confessionally Reformed section of our identity. The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) officially adopts the Wesminster Confession of Faith, Westminster Larger Catechism, and Westminster Shorter Catechism as its system of doctrine, declaring them as faithful summaries of the teaching of Scripture. These confessional documents are subscribed to by all of its ecclesiastical officers. What is more, these documents also affirm the content of historic, ecumenical creeds: Apostles' Creed, Nicene Creed, Chalcedonian Creed, and Athanasian Creed.
